So, in the last post I was writing about our first night in SF. After we slept by the Golden Gate Bridge, we woke up (mainly myself... I woke up, popped in my contacts and drove with Sheldon still in his sleeping bag down to the beach to catch some pictures of the sunrise above the city and on the GGB. We got some great shots, such a beautiful sunrise over the city. The Golden Gate was just as amazing with the fog hiding the greatness from the morning sun. After watching the sunrise we drove downtown to get a workout in at Gold's Gym. All I can say about that place is wow... At some times in there I thought we had walked into a gay bar. Full-on monstrous men kissing other men in the gym, in the locker room, hugging, who knows what else... It was like the Pride Parade marched into the gym and was having a full on work out party in there, no joke. Rainbow Club...
Anyways, after our quick workout we headed towards Haight and Ashbury street. We walked the streets there checking out the old hippy mecca and street shopped for a few hours. Above us were the SF Blue Angels putting on their annual air show. The Blue Angels are a group of pilots who performed acrobatic stunts in jet-fighter planes. Pretty gnarly stuff. Good use of tax money on all that jet fuel. After walking Haight and Ashbury we went to SF park to see the infamous hippy hill. After talking with a local, she directed us into the trees of the park and to head towards the beat of the bongos. Sure enough passed the trees, we heard a distant beating sound and followed the sound until we came across a modern clan of long-haired friends of Jesus pounding the drums. Sheldon and I sat down on the hill above them with our guitars and played a few tunes until the sun set.
Trees and fog near the Golden Gate Bridge. The early morning fog is spectacular!

Duckee Duckee. Street art is everywhere in SF. And there is a fine line between art and vandalism.
Rocks... That seemed more blue in real life. ;)
By the Rainbow Club...
Classic shot of SF with the cable car lines and an old city building.
