Morning Sight Ol' Bessy |
After a long drive all day we arrived in Reno. Shy of San Francisco once again. My source of knowledge had me assuming that the Cali coast was much closer than in reality. We still haven't even made it to the border, but we are close. From reliable map sources we have close to 300 miles until SF. We debated on whether or not to dose up on caffeine and make it by the end of this day but we reasoned against the faux energy.
We encountered snow, endless desert views, picturesque cloud formations, rain storms, wind gusts and a supernatural Indian monument today. And that's about it. Long, straight highways. I haven't had time to upload or edit any pictures from today but maybe later tonight or tomorrow sometime. We still need to find a place to sleep for the night. Mall? Lake Tahoe is close so we may just go stay on the lakeside there. We'll just have to see. Avoir for now!

Taken at Thunder Mtn. Monument. The TV was a part of the wall protecting the monument from outsiders.
